About The Excalibur Fundraising Event

The Excalibur began 15 years ago as a small silent auction to raise funds for special programs that benefit the cadets at the Academy. Through the volunteer efforts of parents, alumni, faculty, and staff, the event has grown into the Academy's largest fundraiser. Since its beginning, more than $1.5 million has been raised from The Excalibur, with all funds used for the benefit of the cadets.

The Excalibur's primary mission is to raise funds for programs that directly benefit the cadets, such as:

  • Totzke Learning Center
  • New Integrated Leadership Program
  • Music and Bagpipes Program
  • Community Service Program
  • Scholarship Program

The Social Event of the Year

Eleven years ago, The Excalibur expanded to include a live auction, formal dinner and dance. Now, The Excalibur Benefit Auction and Dinner Ball is the premier social event of the Academy. The weekend begins with a silent auction held on the beautiful grounds of the Academy on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning continuing with the Saturday evening gala held at the Country Springs Hotel.

Help our cadets and be part of a weekend to remember! Mark your calendars and attend The Excalibur on April 25-26, 2008.

Support the Cadets - Volunteer for The Excalibur

The success of The Excalibur is due to the many volunteers who give their time, talent, and treasures. There is sure to be a volunteer opportunity to fit your talents and time schedule. Parents, alumni and teachers volunteer out of a deep love for the Academy and the desire to maintain St. John's Northwestern's reputation as the premier military school in the country. The Excalibur encourages volunteers to experience the fun and magic of bringing the event to life by participating on one of the event committees: acquisitions, invitation and auction catalog, silent auction, dinner, or live auction.
