SJNMA School Profile | School Year Curriculm

Strong academics are the centerpiece of the St. John’s Northwestern experience. We provide challenging yet personalized instruction that is tailored to each student’s needs and abilities. All of our courses are delivered in small class settings by dedicated faculty where individual attention and classroom interaction optimize mastery of both subject matter and the learning process itself. We aspire to create innovative, curious and resourceful students, to provide in them a solid foundation of knowledge that will allow them to succeed in college, and to form in each a passion for life-long learning.

The Academy’s curriculum includes:

  • Advanced Placement courses, an Honors Program and the opportunity to earn college credit
  • Project Lead The Way™, a national technology learning program with a rigorous curriculum that allows cadets to apply what they are learning in math and science class to real-life engineering and technology projects
  • Multiple offerings in music and art
  • Support services such as the Totzke Learning Center, structured tutorial services, monitored study halls and peer tutoring
  • Opportunities for learning beyond the classroom
