St. John’s Northwestern

Military Academy

Giving

As a private educational institution, St. John's Northwestern Military Academy must rely on the financial support of our alumni, parents and friends to help ensure that our programs and facilities are the best they can be.

The Academy's premier fundraising event, The Excalibur, will be held on campus in Farrand Hall Gymnasium on Saturday, April 27, 2013. Guests will be treated to a truly fun-filled evening with an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere for socializing and bidding on some very unique items. Please plan to join us for what is sure to be a memorable evening. Proceeds benefit the Annual Fund, which supports every cadet, teacher, program and department on campus.

If you are interested in volunteering for The Excalibur or have a unique idea for an auction item, contact Cindy Trione in the Development Office at (800) 234-9097, (262) 646-7289 or ctrione@sjnma.org.

Last Year’s Excalibur Success
The Academy is sincerely grateful to those who sponsored The Excalibur, donated wonderful auction items, and volunteered their time to make The Excalibur a success in 2012. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the Corps of Cadets through silent and live auction purchases, and cash donations toward this year’s “FUND-A-NEED.” The event was a huge success and raised more than $167,000 ($145,000 net) for the Annual Fund that supports every cadet, teacher, department and program on campus.

The Excalibur 2012 FUND-A-NEED
At the end of the live auction, the auctioneer asked guests to raise their bid paddles in support of interactive whiteboards. A phenomenal $52,476 was raised! This was enough to outfit each of our 34 classrooms with a board, projector and software to create a teaching and learning platform that truly benefits every cadet. These boards are helping our teachers create engaging content and lessons that allow students to interact with information in a much deeper way than with a chalkboard. This technology is also helping us build the modern learning environment that every one of our students deserves. THANK YOU to all who supported this important endeavor!
