Farrand Hall Gymnasium Challenge – Alumnus Jay Graf Offers $100,000 as Matching Gift!
We are excited to announce that Jay Graf, a 1966 graduate of Northwestern Military & Naval Academy, has graciously offered to contribute up to $100,000 in the form of a matching grant toward the completion of the Farrand Hall Gymnasium upgrades. Beginning now until June 30, 2010, each dollar raised separately for the project, up to a total of $100,000, will be matched by Mr. Graf.
Thanks to the generous contributions from alumni, parents and friends of the Academy, we have already completed some improvements to the gym that include a new state-of-the-art weight room, new backboards for the main basketball court and a new scoring table. Successful completion of this $200,000 matching campaign will allow us to complete a new aerobics training area, install a new main court scoreboard, add additional backboards to side-to-side basketball courts, and make improvements to the wrestling room and building entrance.
