Q: How is the Corps of Cadets organized?
A: The Corps of Cadets is organized into a battalion consisting of five companies of approximately 50 cadets each and one company for the cadets in the Post Graduate Leadership Program. The First Captain has a staff of cadet officers, a Command Sergeant Major and cadet company commanders, first sergeants, and other staff to run the companies.
Q: Are there mandatory leaves?
A: Furloughs are mandatory block leave times when all cadets are required to depart campus. The Academy has three mandatory furloughs during the course of the academic year: Thanksgiving, Christmas and Spring Break. There is also one extended leave weekend, semester break, in which cadets may depart campus, but are not required. To download leave forms, login to your ParentsWeb account and visit the "Resoures" section.
Q: Who do I contact regarding my cadet's travel/leave arrangements or daily schedule?
A: In the event a parent/guardian needs to contact the Academy regarding their cadet's travel arrangements, off campus appointments or daily schedule, call:
Main Academy - (262) 646-3311 or (800) 752-2338
Commandant's Office - (262) 646-7112
Resident Life Office - (262) 646-7237 or (262) 646-7113
Please do not call the Command Post as that is an internal extension for on campus use only. If the Command Post number is called from an external phone line, it will ring a residential number owned by someone else.
Q: How will my cadet's health care needs be addressed?
A: Contact the SJNMA Birk Infirmary, which is staffed by ProHealth Care professionals.
Q: Where do I find registration and medical forms?
A: Login to your ParentsWeb account and visit the "Resources" section to download forms.
Q: If I have a question about how my cadet is doing, who should I contact?
A: For questions about your cadet, start by contacting your cadet's Resident Faculty Officer (RFO). Phone numbers for each company are listed on the Contact Us page.
Q: What is the Company Parents Program and how can I get involved?
A: During closed weekends in January, February, and March or April, Parents Club sponsors company parties or outings for the cadets. Parents are welcome and encouraged to help out or make donations. Some past outings included company rock climbing, a Hawaiian luau and a Brewers game. For information, contact Parents Club.
