Shadow a Cadet

Experience cadet life, participate in school life and make friends through the Shadow a Cadet program. Young men and women in grades 7 through 12 may spend a school day on campus to experience cadet life. Interested students will be paired with current cadets and "shadow" them through morning classes, review the troops, enjoy lunch, and have an opportunity to ask cadets questions about our school and weekend activities. Your student will take a tour of the Academy and attend a few morning classes with a cadet escort. Parents are asked to join their children and their cadet escort for lunch. In the afternoon, your child will take our entrance exam followed by interviews with school representatives from Enrollment Services, the Academic Office and the Resident Life Office.

Shadow days may be arranged by appointment, Monday through Friday, during the school year. The day's schedule begins at 9:00 a.m. and concludes at 4:30 p.m. The Shadow a Cadet program requires a completed application and payment of $115, which includes our $100 application fee. A copy of your child's school transcript is required (a certified or actual copy is not necessary).

Space is limited. If you are interested in having your son or daughter Shadow a Cadet, contact Enrollment Services at (800) 752-2338 or complete a contact form.
