Annual Expenses and Financial Responsibilities
The following summarizes your financial obligations when enrolling your child at St. John's Northwestern Military Academy.

Tuition
Tuition is prorated throughout the year for students in grades 7 through 12 entering between the end of October and the first week of April. Contact the Enrollment Office for current tuition and fees.

Tuition and fees for the 2017-2018 school year's comprehensive fee, which is established by the Board of Trustees, is $38,000 for 7-day boarding cadets, $37,000 for 5-day boarding cadets, $14,000 for day cadets, and $43,000 for international cadets. The academic year includes:

  • Tuition
  • Room and board
  • Haircuts
  • Student accident insurance
  • Hardcover textbook usage fee
  • Computer usage fee

Initial Supplies Fee
New students in grades 7 through 12 are required to pay an initial supply fee for uniforms and supplies of $2,950 for boarding cadets and $2,750 for day cadets.

Basic Clothing and Equipment Requirements
In addition to the fees listed above, each cadet is required to provide certain basic clothing, bedding and supplies.

Incidental Account
This account is required to cover items such as Cadet Store purchases, school supplies, off-campus social and recreational activities, personal transportation to the airport or train station, laundry, etc. This account is handled on a charge basis with statements sent to families each month. The average cadet can incur charges of approximately $3,000-$5,000 per year depending on the restrictions set forth by the parent/guardian.

Cadet Bank Account
This Account provides weekly spending money for your cadet. Most cadets receive an allowance of $8 to $15 per week, depending on the grade enrolled in and the amount you establish.

Payment and Contract
A signed Enrollment Contract and minimum deposit of $5,000 are required to reserve a space for your son. Full payment must be made on or before registration day unless a monthly payment plan is established to pay the remaining balance.

Monthly Payment Options
Payments are made based on an eight-month plan beginning in July and ends in February. Payments by checking or savings accounts will be collected by FACTS Tuition Management and payments by credit or debit cards will collected by the Academy. Pay Early
