Teaching Positions

Computer Science and Programming Teacher
SJNMA has an immediate opening for a full-time computer science/programming teacher for high school courses in computer fundamentals as well as introductory and intermediate programming. Teacher certification is strongly preferred but relevant work experience will be considered.

We seek a creative and innovative lead teacher who is willing to build and expand our computer science/programming/coding offerings. The teacher will have wide latitude to design engaging and relevant curriculum in each course to meet standards and learning outcomes. Resources include access to Raspberry Pi, Arduino, and drone equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who seeks autonomy and freedom to design course content that they know students will be excited about and benefit from.

This opening is an immediate need for the second semester of the 2018-2019 school year with a high probability of long-term employment for the right candidate. The position of faculty member at SJNMA includes opportunities for athletic coaching, summer teaching/work, and additional paid roles depending on desire, talent, and need. Faculty members are also required to support certain supervisory roles from time to time.

Benefits include health/dental insurance, 401K, professional development support, small class sizes (1:12 average teacher-student ratio), free meals while on duty, and long vacations over the holidays and spring break. Opportunities may exist for on-campus housing depending on an expressed need/desire and availability.

SJNMA is a mission-driven learning organization with passionate, committed faculty and staff. If you are looking for a teaching role that puts the student first, allows you to build meaningful and productive relationships with each student, respects and supports you as a professional educator, and will help you seek expertise and excellence in your craft, we would love to talk with you about becoming a member of our team! Please apply by sending your resume or CV and a letter of interest to the Academic Dean, Eric Wozniak, at
