Sergeant Joshua Sheeran graduated from high school in Antioch, Illinois, before joining the United States Army as an infantryman in September 2006. During the course of his career, he served as a member of the 26th Infantry Regiment in Afghanistan’s volatile Kunar Province, where he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal with Valor device. With six years of service, he was medically retired from military service due to injuries sustained during combat operations. He has since spent time working as a member of a wildland firefighting crew based out of Arizona, and as a nationally and internationally certified commercial diver/underwater welder. He joined SJNMA in August 2018, and is studying business administration at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
