Retired from the U.S. Army after 21 years of service, First Sergeant Paul Zimmer was an Airborne/Ranger Infantryman. He is Ranger qualified, Pathfinder qualified and a Master Parachutist. Seventeen of his 21 years of service have been in Airborne Units. Upon retiring, he became a JROTC instructor at SJNMA for from 1999 to 2007. In 2007, he entered into the Private Security Industry where he held supervisory positions as operations/training supervisor for all of GE Healthcare and as operations manager of Milwaukee County Transit Security. Since 2010, he also has been working as a military contractor for the Department of State in Basra (Iraq) and in Baghdad (Iraq) as a security complex site supervisor at the U.S. Embassy.
