COL Robert Roehrkasse, Ph.D., is director of cadet advancement and the Mathematics Department chair. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, and a Master of Science degree and Doctorate degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is a graduate of the United States Air Force Air War College, and has served as an interim commandant and dean at SJMNA. He has taught at the United States Air Force Academy as well as other baccalaureate, graduate, community and technical colleges. He also served as a research associate at the University of Chicago, and has published 11 professional papers. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in September 1991 after 26 years of service. At the Military Airlift Command, he provided analysis of airlift operations in direct support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm. His decorations include the Legion of Merit, the Meritorious Service Medal with one device, the Air Force Commendation Medal with one device, and the National Defense Service Medal with one device.
